Most professionally cleaned carpets dry within about 8–24 hours, depending on humidity, temperature, and airflow. You can walk on it right away, but avoid outdoor shoes (clean, rubber-soled shoes are best). To speed drying, run fans and adjust A/C or heating to keep air moving.
